Jesus Christ - Our Foundation & Guide
Everything we do at The Bridge is because of Him. Jesus is our reason, our purpose, and the source of the compassion we extend to every person we meet. He showed us how to love without conditions, serve without limits, and extend grace freely to all. Our mission is to love people the way Jesus loves — with open arms, a kind heart, and a willingness to walk alongside anyone in their time of need.
You do not have to believe what we believe to receive help here. There are no requirements, no barriers, and no judgment. Every person is welcome. We simply seek to reflect the love, grace, and compassion of Jesus in every act of service, every conversation, and every connection we make.
Mickala Gillispie - Owner
I’m an entrepreneur, community advocate, and mother of three, driven by faith, perseverance, and purpose. My story is one of resilience: I moved all over the country as a child, attended over 15 schools, and worked full-time to support my single mother while maintaining A/B honor roll. These experiences shaped my discipline, empathy, and understanding of people.
I bring years of leadership and management experience to my work and now serve as Project Manager and Marketing Operations for MVA, supporting community programs and veteran initiatives through meaningful merch. I’m also the owner of Graced Goods and Faithful Finds LLC, where I handcraft custom work that bridge purpose with practicality.
At the heart of everything I do, whether in business, advocacy, or motherhood, is a simple belief that small acts of kindness can create lasting change, and every challenge is an opportunity to serve with love and grace.

My goal is always looking for ways to expand our impact, build meaningful partnerships, and find new ways to give back. I am dedicated to growth and making positive change in everything I do, and my commitment is to create meaningful opportunities that help those in need.
OUR VOLUNTEERS
Perri Danyelle - Senior Care Volunteer
Perri is an incredible member of our community who generously gives her personal time weekly to serve an elderly neighbor in need. She assists with tasks that have become difficult, offering practical support with compassion and dignity. Through her steady presence and willing heart, Perri helps bridge the gap for those who may otherwise feel overwhelmed or alone. She brings hope, connection, and care to our senior neighbors, and we are so grateful to have her part of The Bridge family.
Jess Owens - General Bridge Volunteer
Jess is a fellow, local small business owner of Lady J’s Barbershop. When she’s not behind the chair or pouring into her family as an incredible mom, she’s out in the community doing what she does best- giving back in meaningful, hands on ways. Whether it’s passing out The Bridge hygiene kits to those in need, or delivering items we’ve set aside to free closets, senior homes, and other local resources, Jess continually steps in wherever there’s a gap to be filled.
Leading with compassion, action, and intention; Jess is a true example of what it looks like to come together, care deeply, and create the kind of community we all long to be part of.
